Her personal commitment to coaching has grown from her belief that the coach exists to help people tap into their own strengths and knowledge – the answers often lie within. She is particularly passionate about helping people release their creativity. Having personally benefited from coaching as a senior executive, she is now dedicated to helping other senior executives enhance their performance, confidence and leadership capability through coaching.

Before developing her coaching and consulting practice, Jo led strategy development for WH Smith, and played a key role in business transformation by leading redefinition of purpose, vision and brand. Before that she was Commercial Director, and then Supply Chain Director of Waterstone’s Booksellers. During her corporate career she led significant projects in supply chain, retail proposition development, strategy development and employee engagement.

Her many years at Board level have provided valuable insight into the factors that help and hinder top performance, both from individuals and within senior teams. She helps leaders to unlock the energy and passion latent in themselves and their organisations.

Jo gained an MBA, with distinction, in 2000, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring, also with distinction, in 2011. Jo is also trained in coaching constellations: a transformational, systemic and creative approach to coaching, which aims to optimise people’s potential at work through a supportive yet challenging relationship.

Jo was a founder member of the Turning Point, an international leadership development consultancy. Their mission is to foster the personal leadership in Executive, High Potential and Senior Managers in the service of compelling visions and concrete results, notably during strategic transitions.
